Venetian Plaster
Handcrafted depth, movement and character.
Venetian plaster is a premium decorative wall finish that creates depth, movement and texture through layers of specially applied plaster.
Unlike a standard painted wall, Venetian plaster has a handcrafted appearance, with natural variation and subtle changes in texture that interact with the light throughout the day.
Inspired by centuries of Italian craftsmanship, Venetian plaster is now used in contemporary homes, luxury interiors, hospitality spaces and commercial projects.
We create bespoke Venetian plaster finishes across Wellington, Palmerston North and surrounding regions.
A bespoke finish for unique interiors
Every Venetian plaster surface is individually created by hand.
The application involves carefully layering, polishing and refining the plaster to achieve the desired level of depth, movement and texture. Because each surface is handcrafted, no two walls are exactly the same.
The result is a one-of-a-kind finish that can add warmth, character and sophistication to an interior.
From subtle, refined surfaces to bold statement walls, Venetian plaster offers a level of depth and detail that conventional paint cannot achieve.
Why Choose Venetian Plaster?
Timeless Appearance
Venetian plaster has been used for centuries for its natural beauty and refined appearance. Its variation and depth give it a timeless quality that can work equally well in classic and contemporary interiors.
Depth & Movement
Unlike flat paint, Venetian plaster interacts with light across the surface. Layering and polishing create subtle variation, depth and movement that change depending on the light and viewing angle.
Durable and Long Lasting
When professionally applied and maintained, Venetian plaster provides a durable surface designed to stand the test of time.
Completely Customizable
Colour, texture, movement and sheen can all be tailored to suit the space. This allows each finish to be developed around the architecture, lighting and overall design of the interior.
Colours & finishes
There is no single Venetian plaster look.
Different application techniques can create finishes ranging from smooth and understated to heavily textured and expressive. Colours can also be customised to complement the surrounding materials, furnishings and architecture.
We work with a range of Venetian plaster systems and decorative finishes, allowing us to create everything from subtle, minimalist surfaces to distinctive feature walls.
